We were one of the the first Housing Associations in Wales to adopt the partnering approach to procurement when we developed 100 units of medical staff accommodation for the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant. This was also the first keyworker scheme in Wales to be provided under the Government's Private Finance Initiative.
The real benefits of the partnering approach were realised on our second scheme for medical staff accommodation at Llandough Hospital in Cardiff. The same team of consultants and contractor were used and resulted in reductions in build costs, improvements in quality and timescales.
The redevelopment of the prefab estates in Newport is also being procured on a partnering basis to provide the degree of flexibility demanded by this very complex project. |
