The Team has responsibility for strategic asset management and has overseen the production of the Asset Management Strategy for the Seren Group as a whole. With receipts being generated from the disposal of unsuitable existing stock there is a clear link between our asset management and development/new business activities.
The Asset Management Strategy for 2004/05 is a result of the continuous progress that has been achieved by the Asset Management Group over the previous 12 months. Although we have successfully cleared a number of hurdles, there is still much work to be done as we move towards 2012 and the implementation of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard. As the strategy is progressed from year to year, it is becoming a more and more important tool in enabling the Seren Group to manage it's stock efficiently and effectively. As we analyse the data already collected and continue to capture new data, our understanding of the issues we face becomes clearer. As this process continues, our data is becoming more robust and our long term financial planning, more reliable.
