Newport Care & Repair provides a responsive Safety at Home/Rapid Response Adaptation Service. The service may be provided for people who are in hospital, have recently been discharged from hospital, or are at risk of being admitted because of an unsafe home. Small grants may be available to fund work such as:
- Small ramps
- External or internal rails
- Door entry/alarms
- Levelling/widening paths
- Floor or stair safety
Referrals for grants must come from a health or social services professional or Age Concern PATH scheme.
