What is the Right to Acquire?
The Right to Acquire is a scheme giving eligible Charter tenants, the legal right to acquire their home that they currently rent. Eligible tenants may be entitled to a discount of 25% of the purchase price up to a maximum discount of £16,000.
To be able to claim the Right to Acquire and purchase your home you will need to be living in a property that qualifies for the scheme.
Not all Charter tenants will automatically have the right to purchase their property, the scheme only applies to certain properties.
